Commonly, these dogs (along with any dog which is a mix of these breeds or might look like
it might be one of these breeds), are inaccurately referred to as "Pit Bulls" or just "Pits".
Although "Bully" or "Bull and Terrier" dogs share a common heritage dating back to before ancient Rome, they have actually developed into distinctively different lines with a variety of physical
and personality differences. More recently (over the last 10-15 years) ignorance, ego, brutality and hype have all combined
to muddy the reputation of these noble and devoted animals.
