Autumn at home
"[Autumn] is fully adjusted to our home in Coventry, and is even adjusted to my dad. She loves to sleep
with my sister and me on our beds, which we don't mind. During the day, she loves to sleep in the sun. We think she is part
cat! She loves to look out the front window and spy on the bunnies and the birds. She will stand on the top of the couch and
just cry because she can't get to the bunny. She is also become my little running buddy. We go running about a half
mile and walk the rest. She is such a hunting dog. Whenever we are walking/running, she has to stop and see everything that
is moving, even if it is a leaf. We are very happy that Autumn is a part of our lives. "

"Just thought you would like another update on Autumn. She is a wonderful member of our family, who loves
sleeping on the couches and the beds. A couple months ago my fiance and I bought a chocolate lab. We weren't sure where to
keep it. We brought Dougie (the lab) to our house and Autumn impressed me so much. She was trying so hard to play with the
puppy, who was only 4 weeks old. But I think a lot of it had to do with her being a mother and knowing the cries he was making.
I didn't know how she was going to act around a puppy, but she was wonderful. She started licking and smelling
him right away. They have become best friends. They sleep together, go on walks together and even play together. We
are so lucky to have Autumn who has made Dougie's transition here quite easier than expected. Also a couple
months ago, we were trying to get Dougie to give us his paw. We were trying and trying and finally he did it. Up until this
point, Autumn would never give her paw to us. She would sit but never give her paw. After Dougie gave his paw, Autumn
gave her paw. I was so proud of her and now they both can lie down on command. I think Autumn needed a friend and she got
one and an entire family."
